Ava Team
Hi Warren! I am happy to help. You can do this two different ways. I recommend opening a Zoom meeting and then opening Ava CC as an overlay to your meeting. You can check out this article to learn more: https://intercom.help/ava/en/articles/4580211-captioning-conference-calls-with-ava-cc
You can also integrate Ava within Zoom for captions by using an API Token. The host of the meeting is able to provide this for you. Instructions on using an API token and where to find it are in this article: https://intercom.help/ava/en/articles/3837352-where-to-find-the-zoom-api-token-to-integrate-ava-captions (I recommend method 1 if you are using the API)

The organizer needs to turn it on. They can turn in auto caption or hire a live captioner. Once it’s turned on/activated, it should work. As a participant, you can click something like “request captions be enabled.” The organizer gets a message. Assuming they see it and click allow, auto captions will then be turned on.

Elena Fernsler: if I am the organizer do I need Ava pro acct or can I add captions if I have a basic acct?

warren goorno: I’m pretty sure you can enable it regardless of the account type. It’s auto captions
