My father is 100% deaf. And it has been a real struggle to communicate with him in a way that doesn’t stop me from doing anything else you were App was wonderful tonight. We had a 40 minute rambling conversation about everything and nothing with just a few glitches where it seem to lag or just didn’t record what I thought. I said I do talk fast most the time and slowing down for the apps are a little difficult but I would’ve thank you because the last week I have been through more than 40 translation apps, and you are the best so far keep up the good work, and if it all possible, make it easier to join the conversations.

It isn’t that a person can never hear sometimes the pain in their experiences are so deep that over a lifetime of verbal abuse they decide I am done being hurt by what I hear. I don’t feel it is safe to continue listening and being hurt by what I hear

Hi Danyle, my name is Rupin Bhalla and I'm the Mobile Product Manager at Ava. Thanks for giving us your feedback and feature request.
I would love to understand how Ava can make joining a conversation easier for you. Would you be able to give me more detail about that?
If you provide me your best contact information, I can reach out and we can discuss via that method to make things easier.

One thing that works well for my family is having multiple phones running the app at the same time. This way each speaker gets identified (with some accuracy) and each person can keep an eye on if the app transcribed what they said accurately. Basically, it becomes the speakers responsibility to “self-correct” if the app doesn’t transcribe it accurately
