Hey jay, my name is Rupin Bhalla and I'm the Mobile Product Manager at Ava. Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately we have tried to implement this feature but we could not. The reason being is on iOS we can't get the audio straight from the source. The iOS operating system doesn't allow this to happen, so we can't deliver captions to you while you are watching a video with headphones.

If you need to do so, please remove your headphones and you can receive captions that way. If anything changes in the future, I'll definately let you know.
